WeVideo – a powerful, feature-filled online video editor.

WeVideo

WeVideo offers a full-featured video editor with nothing to download or install.   K-12 plans include a “walled-garden” feature that can be used to address safety and privacy concerns by limiting sharing of student-generated videos.

Today, WeVideo announced the launch of their Education ChannelThe aim of this channel is to use curriculum-aligned online Film Fests to inspire students and “showcase the best global student videos.”  The channel also provides students with a source of royalty-free footage for use in the Film Fest Videos.

A free (limited)  plan is available with K-12 plans starting at $149/semester for 50 students.  The free account met the needs of my students for short videos.  A free semester-long pilot program is currently being offered to universities.

Looking for apps?  WeVideo is available on Androidand iOS.
